A Walking Day in Amsterdam

Tour on the canal. Our guide explained that the houses are so narrow and tall because they were originally taxed on the width of their home. There are a few homes that are one window wide!

Canal & Cocktails!

Our bartender shows us the many flavors that are made from the mother of GIN. Mike thinks it is basically grain alcohol with fruit flavorings.

We visited the original BULLDOG coffee shop - DISPENSARY! Founded in 1975. We were surrounded by smoke and a younger relaxed crowd!

Dutch food this evening.

We walked the RED LIGHT district but it is known that you are not to take pictures. Dave & Timi pose in front of this  sign to show you where we are!

Bikes are parked EVERYWHERE! Our tour guide claims 11,000 bikes end up in the canal every year. They do not wear helmets nor do they have bike lights. Maybe all of their tires are reflective and that is how they are seen at night!
